چکیده
Abstract This paper presents a novel hybrid-based methodology devoted to develop urban fragility curves and damage probability matrices predict likelihood seismic scenarios for small medium Italian centres, considering URM buildings only. The concept of curve consists single mean-representative the an entire area accounting combinations building classes their percentage, then they differ from those typological. has been developed with reference Rocca di Mezzo, centre located in central Apennine area, Italy. Based on CarTiS inventory, have firstly recognized curves, representative at Ultimate Limit State, developed. To low high-intensity earthquakes, approach define multi-damage also presented. this aim, scale suffered by defined converting final outcomes AeDES form (used Italy post-earthquake surveys) levels provided European Macroseismic Scale (EMS98). Data coming compared actual scenario recorded Mezzo after 2009 L’Aquila’s earthquake, terms both peak-ground acceleration Mecalli-Cancani-Sieberg scale. achieved results showed good accordance between theoretical predictions scenarios, coherent occurred other historical centres hit severe earthquakes over years. Thus, can provide first important indicator support development emergently plans identify priority interventions such areas particularly vulnerable respect others.

متن کاملProbabilistic Approach to the Seismic Vulnerability of RC Frame Structures by the Development of Analytical Fragility Curves
Fragility curves are very useful in quantifying the physical and economic damage of buildings that have undergone an earthquake. This paper presents the development of analytical fragility curves representative of mid-rise residential structures built with reinforced concrete, taking into account the specific structural characteristics of Algerian buildings. The derivation of the analytical fra...
متن کاملA multipurpose method for seismic vulnerability assessment of urban areas
The present work outlines a methodological framework for “ordering” through progressive levels of analyses different evaluation models concerning the seismic vulnerability at urban scale, with respect to the possible final objectives: seismic scenarios, emergency or urban planning, as far as seismic mitigation or economical estimates. The research work has been developed within the URBISIT Proj...
متن کاملA methodology for Determining the Seismic Vulnerability of Old Concrete Highway Bridges by Using Fragility Curves
Past earthquakes have demonstrated that old RC bridges may be seismically vulnerable. Bridge responses during the last decades illustrated the necessity of the seismic assessment of bridges especially those which were designed with old codes. In this research an existing concrete bridge representative of the most common bridges in the highway system in Iran are studied. Push over and nonlinear ...
